After reading a Razorfish report that said 44% of (American) people were on Twitter looking for deals, we decided to test the waters with this microsite for local store, Bike 75. The idea behind the Twitter domination on the homepage is to engage users in a genuine two-way conversation from the beginning. Why? Because we wanted to position Bike 75 as the friendliest bike store in town (some of its competitors at the top end of the bike market care a bit stuffy). This vibe permeates every detail of the site, from conversational headlines to the page header that welcomes a notorious Hummer driver.
